Okay, so the other day, I was checking out this watch, right? You know, those fancy Rolex Submariner ones, but the ones without the date thingy on them. They call ’em “No-Date” or something. Anyway, I was curious how to tell if they’re the real deal or just some cheap knock-offs.
First off, I picked one up, and man, it felt heavy! I did some digging, and it turns out the real ones are supposed to be around 1.57 inches across. That’s the case diameter, whatever that means. This one felt about right, so that was a good start.
- Check the weight and size: Real ones are kinda heavy and about 1.57 inches in diameter.
Then I started looking real close at the details. I read somewhere that the real Rolexes have these tiny numbers on them, like a serial number and a model number. They’re super small and hard to see, but they’re there. I used my phone’s camera to zoom in, and sure enough, I saw some tiny writing. It was kinda cool, like a secret code or something.
- Look for tiny numbers: They should have a serial and model number engraved somewhere.
I also noticed that the design was super simple. I mean, it’s just a watch, right? But there’s something about it. It’s clean, no extra stuff, just the time. I heard someone say these No-Date ones are like the “pure” version of the Submariner. Makes sense, I guess.
- Notice the simple design: No-Date means no extra stuff, just the basics.
I talked to this guy at the store, and he told me that these watches are a big deal for collectors. Apparently, there’s this one called the ref. 5517, which is based on another one, the ref. 5513. They’re like, super rare or something. I don’t know, I’m not a collector, but it sounded interesting. Seems like these watches have a whole history behind them.
- Ask around: Some of these watches are rare and have a cool history.
Oh, and I found out that these Submariners were used by Navy SEALs back in the day! How cool is that? They needed watches that could handle all their tough missions, and these Rolex ones were up to the task. I mean, if it’s good enough for a Navy SEAL, it’s probably good enough for me, right?
- Learn the history: These watches were used by Navy SEALs!
So, yeah, that’s my little adventure with these High imitation Rolex No-Date Submariner watches. I didn’t buy one, though. They’re pretty pricey! But I learned a lot, and it was fun checking them out. Maybe one day, when I’m rich and famous, I’ll get one. For now, I’ll just stick to my regular watch.
Anyway, just be careful out there. There are a lot of fakes. But now you know what to look for, and maybe you will find a nice one that won’t break the bank. If it makes you feel good, go for it. Just don’t get ripped off! And hey, there are other cool watches out there too, like Omega, Tudor, or Breitling. You don’t need a Rolex to look good, you know?
