So, I started digging around, right? Found some info about it. Like, it’s got this 12-hour counter sub-dial at the 6 o’clock position, which is pretty neat. And this movement, the 3861, it beats at 21,600 vph, or 3Hz. I’m not a watchmaker, but that sounds pretty good to me.
Then I went on a hunt. I was looking everywhere, and I stumbled upon this used one, marked as “very good” condition. It was made in 2022, came with the original box and papers, which is a big deal for me. I mean, if I’m getting a CopyOMEGA, I want the whole shebang. There were some tags like Speedmaster Professional Moonwatch, Omega Speedmaster and the brand name Omega, maybe for searching, I’m not sure.
I finally got my hands on it. Holding it, it feels solid, you know? It’s got that classic Moonwatch look, but the sapphire crystal gives it a bit of a modern vibe. I spent a good chunk of time just looking at it, checking out the details, how the light plays off the dial, that sort of thing.
