Alright, buddies, let’s talk about my latest project. I got this idea to try and remake a Patek Philippe Calatrava 5227G-010. Getting Started

- Putting the movement in was probably the hardest part. I used the movement from the old watch I took apart. It wasn’t a Patek Philippe movement, obviously, but it ticked, and that’s what mattered.
The Final Touch
After a lot of trial and error, I finally had something that looked somewhat like a Patek Philippe Calatrava 5227G-010. It wasn’t perfect, not by a long shot, but it was mine. I even made a little display case for it, just like the real ones!
Now, I know my little homemade watch isn’t worth anything close to $28,190, maybe not even $28.19. But, to me, it’s priceless. It’s a reminder that you can do a lot with a little, and that sometimes, the journey is more important than the destination. Plus, it looks pretty cool on my wrist!
