Okay, so I’ve been eyeing this PRADA Medium Prada Galleria Saffiano Leather Bag for a while now. It’s not cheap, you know, so I really took my sweet time deciding if I should go for it. After lots of thinking, I finally decided to just do it – remake it by myself. I mean, why not? It’ll be a fun project, and I get to save some serious cash.
First things first, I needed to gather all the materials. I went online and ordered some Saffiano leather, which is what the original bag is made of. It’s this special kind of leather that’s been treated and has a cool cross-hatch pattern. I also got some gold-toned hardware ’cause that’s what the Prada bag has. It needed to have that little bit of bling, you know?

Next up, I carefully studied the bag. I mean, I looked at every single detail – the stitching, the pockets, the handles, everything. I even found some super detailed pictures online and printed them out. I wanted my remake to be as close to the real deal as possible.
Then, the real work started. I cut the leather according to the pattern I drafted, which was kind of a pain, but I managed. I slowly assembled the pieces of the bag. It was pretty tricky, not gonna lie, but I took it one step at a time. Sometimes I used glue to hold them in place before sewing them, and sometimes I had to use my sewing machine.
Putting the hardware on was the most satisfying part, I’d say. It really made the bag look legit. It took a while to get everything just right, and I had to redo a few things here and there, but eventually, I was done. Finally, I’ve got a bag that looks pretty darn close to the original. It was a lot of work, but I gotta say, I’m pretty proud of myself. It’s not perfect, but it’s mine, and I made it with my own two hands. That feels pretty good.
In the end, I can say that, I did it! It was a journey, but I enjoyed the process. It is very fulfilling for me.
