So, I got this idea to make my own Fendi Mon Tresor Bucket Bag. Yeah, you heard that right, the fancy one. I saw it online, and I thought, “Why not? I can do that.” It’s this cute little bucket bag, you know, with a drawstring and some shiny metal parts that look like the Fendi logo. It’s got two straps, a short one and a long one, so you can carry it however you like.
First, I needed to get the materials. I went down to the local market and found some pretty good leather. Not the super expensive kind, but it feels soft and looks good. Also needed some mesh fabric, the kind that looks like a fishnet. That was a bit harder to find, but I managed. And some metal rings and stuff for the logo and the drawstring.
Gathering the Materials
- Leather: Went to the local market. Found some decent stuff, feels soft, not too pricey.
- Mesh Fabric: A bit tricky. Finally found some that looks like a fishnet.
- Metal Parts: Rings and bits for the logo and drawstring. Found these at a hardware store.
Then came the hard part – putting it all together. I started by cutting the leather into the right shapes. I just eyeballed it, really, based on pictures I saw online. Then I cut the mesh fabric to match. I sewed the leather and mesh together, which was a pain, I won’t lie. My fingers got poked more times than I can count.
Next, I worked on the drawstring. That was easier, just threading a leather cord through some holes I punched in the top of the bag. The metal logo parts were the trickiest. I tried to shape them like the Fendi logo, but they ended up looking a bit wonky. Oh well, it adds character, right?
Finally, I attached the straps. I made one short and one long, just like the real one. Sewed those on, and bam! I had my very own Fendi Mon Tresor Bucket Bag. It’s not perfect, not as clean as the original one. But, hey, I made it myself, and I’m pretty proud of it.
The Result
It’s a bit rough around the edges, and the logo is definitely homemade-looking. But it holds my stuff, and it looks kinda cool, in a rustic, handmade sort of way. I even took it out to the grocery store, and someone asked me where I got it! I just smiled and said, “Oh, this old thing? I made it myself.” Felt pretty good, not gonna lie.
So, yeah, that’s my story of making a Fendi bag. It was a fun project, a good way to kill some time. And now I have a unique bag that no one else has. Would I do it again? Maybe. But next time, I might try a different design. Or maybe I’ll just stick to buying bags. We’ll see.
