Alright, so you wanna know about gettin’ yourself a CopyOMEGA Ω Speedmaster Day-Date, huh? Well, lemme tell ya what I know, though I ain’t no fancy watch expert or nothin’.

So, how do you go about buyin’ a copy? Well, first off, you gotta know what you’re lookin’ for. They say you gotta look at the letters and the little picture on the face, the dial they call it. They gotta be sharp, not all blurry like my eyesight sometimes. And the little marks on the dial, those gotta be clear too. They say to look at pictures of the real ones, so you know what to expect.
And then there’s the back of the watch. There’s supposed to be some fancy writin’ on it, etched in with a laser they say. That’s supposed to be some kind of fancy way to stop people from makin’ fakes, but heck, they make fakes of that too, I reckon.
- Look at the Hands: This watch, it’s got more hands than a regular clock. It’s got hands for the hours, the minutes, and the seconds, just like normal. But it’s also got another hand for the date, and some got even more for the day and the month. They gotta be movin’ smooth, not all jerky-like.
- Check the Little Dials: This watch has got these little dials inside the big dial. They call ‘em sub dials, real fancy. My grandson, he’s good at it, maybe he could help ya. But you gotta be careful, they say, ’cause there’s a lot of folks out there tryin’ to cheat ya. They’ll sell ya somethin’ that looks good but ain’t worth a dime.
The Speedmaster Day-Date, they say it’s for folks who like the way the regular Speedmaster looks, but want that extra day and date stuff. Makes sense, I guess. Some folks need to know the day, not just the time. Me, I just look out the window. If the sun’s up, it’s day time.
They made these Day-Date watches for a long time, see? Started way back in 1999, they say, with some model called the 3523.80.00.
