Well, lemme tell ya, I saw this watch, this Copy OMEGA Speedmaster Apollo 8 “Dark Side of the Moon” thing. It’s somethin’ else, I tell ya. Big and black, like the night sky out here when there ain’t no moon. They call it “Dark Side of the Moon,” and that’s just what it looks like. Shiny, too, like a beetle’s back.
They say it’s a copy, not one of them real fancy ones, but it sure looks fancy to me. 44.25 mm, whatever that means. Big, though. You could see it from across the field, I reckon. Made of this, uh, black zirconia ceramic. Sounds tough, like it could handle a good whack and not even flinch. And it’s got this black strap, they call it Cordura fabric, fits real nice, I bet.
It’s got all these little dials and hands, like a whole bunch of clocks in one. They say it’s a “chronograph”. It is supposed to show the moon surface on it. I don’t know about all that, but it sure is a sight to see. Like a little piece of the night sky on your wrist.
- Black like the night.
- Big and shiny, 44 mm big.
- Tough, made of that ceramic stuff.
- Shows the moon, they say.
- Copy, but looks like the real deal.
Now, I hear these fancy watches, these Speedmasters, they hold their value. ‘Specially the old ones, the “vintage” ones, and the ones they don’t make many of. Those can be worth a pretty penny someday. This one here, it’s a copy, so I don’t know. But it’s a good copy, real good. These old Speedmaster Moonwatch, they are something to get.
They say the real ones, these OMEGA Speedmaster things, they’re like, $12,000. That’s a lot of money. Could buy a whole lotta things with that much money. This copy though, it’s prob’ly cheaper, but it’s still good. Good enough for me, anyway. This Copy OMEGA Speedmaster Apollo 8 is a good thing.
I seen a lot of watches in my day. My old man, he had a pocket watch. Kept it on a chain. This one here, it’s different. It’s… modern, I guess. But it’s got that old-timey feel to it, too. Like it’s been around, even though it’s brand spankin’ new. This Dark Side of the Moon watch is good.
They say it’s like wearing the moon on your wrist. I reckon that’s a good way to put it. Makes ya feel kinda special, wearin’ somethin’ like that. This Omega 311.92.44.30.01.001, that’s what they are calling it, it’s a keeper, that’s for sure. This Copy OMEGA Speedmaster is just fine.
This watch, it’s tough, I can tell. You could prob’ly drop it, bang it around, and it wouldn’t even care. That ceramic stuff, it’s like armor. And the strap, it’s tough, too. Won’t be fallin’ apart anytime soon. This OMEGA Speedmaster Apollo 8 can take a beating.
You know, back in my day, we didn’t have all these fancy gadgets. We had the sun, the moon, and the stars. That’s how we told time. Now, you got this little thing on your wrist that does it all for ya. Times change, I guess. This Copy OMEGA Speedmaster Apollo 8 “Dark Side of the Moon” is something from the future.
But even with all this newfangled stuff, there’s somethin’ about this watch that feels… timeless. Like it’s connected to somethin’ bigger than itself. Maybe it’s the moon thing. Or maybe it’s just the way it’s made. This Dark Side of the Moon is a good name.
I don’t know much about watches, but I know what I like. And I like this one. It’s a good watch. It’s a strong watch. It’s a… moon watch. I reckon if you’re lookin’ for a good watch, somethin’ that’ll last, somethin’ that looks good, you could do a whole lot worse than this Copy OMEGA Speedmaster Apollo 8. It ain’t bad, not bad at all. If you can find one of those old Speedmaster watches, you better keep it. That’s what I’m saying, you better keep it.
