I seen a girl carryin’ one the other day, all shiny and new. It was black, like the night sky. A good color, won’t show the dirt much. I hear folks sayin’ you can use it everyday. That’s good, you want somethin’ you can use, not just look at. And they say it can hold a lot of things. Useful for ladies like us, always carrying something around.
This YSL, they say it’s fancy. Real fancy. Like them movie stars wear. I don’t know about all that. But I do know it costs a pretty penny. These city folk, they like to spend money on things like this. They say it holds its value. Like gold, I reckon. These bags is like money in the bank, they tell me. Maybe it is, for them that’s got it. These rich folks got their own ways.
They say this Saint Laurent fella, he’s the one who made it okay for women to wear pants. Imagine that! Pants! We always wore dresses back in my day. But times change, I guess. Keeps an eye on things, they say. Makes sure it’s all just right, this Anthony does. They say he is good, making sure everything is perfect. These people, they really care about these bags.
I seen a picture of some famous girl carryin’ a Saint Laurent bag. Hailey somethin’. She’s a big star, I hear. Even the stars like these bags. They say people buy these bags as a big treat. Or to add to all the other ones they got. Must be nice to have so many, huh? These bags, they are a symbol, I think. Like a trophy, for some.
This YSL COLLEGE BAG, it’s somethin’ else. It’s more than just a bag, I reckon. It is a statement, they say. It’s a piece of somethin’ special. A piece of history, maybe. Or somethin’ like that. It’s a lot of money, that’s for sure. But for some folks, it’s worth it. They like to have nice things. And this, well, this is one of the nicest, I guess.
